Just read this on Donna's site:
The ninth and final season premiere of Everybody Loves Raymond (to air September 20 @ 9pm) is entitled "The Home". The episode directed by Kenneth Shapiro and written by Tucker Crawley and Jeremy Stevens will involve one of the Barones dropping a bombshell on the rest of the family, leading to some surprising developments.

That's a little vague... on the other hand it sounds like a typical ep.

Hmm...interesting to speculate. Titled "The Home"? Suprising developments? Maybe one of the Barones is ready to move. Hey, it may be a long shot but maybe this is when its first mentioned and occurs during the season finale. I heard an ad for ELR during the credits of a CBS show that was Ray and Marie talking (one of them made a funny comment that had the audience laughing) but by the time I turned around to watch I forgot what was said.

I hope this is not about Robert and Amy wanting to buy a house on Fowler street. But then like Ray is fond of saying, the monkey never learns. ;D
Whatever it's about, I can't wait for S9 to begin! Don't forget to watch Raymundo on Letterman tomorrow night.

Robert and Amy moving in on the same street sounds plausible Yupi! good guess!
I have learned thought that the "hype" of these eps does not always deliver.

I can't believe Robert would be so foolish...

Going to watch it off of your computer a day ahead of time or no, Dan?

Nah... it'd take some doing to find where they do the pre-air downloads. Quite frankly at this point in time my interest in ELR is quite passive... the last two seasons were a major letdown and the only thing I plan to do is flip on the remote to watch it. =P

C'mon amigo, will ya do it just this once for us? I'm sure it won't take more than 25-30 minutes of your time. The suspense is really buggin me.

The second episode is titled "Not So Fast." I wonder if that has any connection to the "The Home." I think it may have something to do with Robert & Amy getting a house and moving off at the end of the season, but I don't know why. Also, on Entertainment Tonight, they had a segment with the taping of "The Home," and Ray told the audience "We can't tell you the title yet, because that would give it away."

[glow=red,2,300] [/glow] Okay, I got this info from another ELR forum. The person who posted it attended the studio taping of the third episode. The first episode is about Marie and Frank selling their house to Robert for $26,000. THat's the big "bombshell." They then use that money to buy a condo and move out of Fowler street. If you've seen the promo for "The Home" on CBS, that explains why Debra was so excited in it. But her happiness is to be shortlived. In the second episode "Not So Fast," Ray and Deb pay a visit to his parents, only to learn from the condo manager that they're being kicked out because of their lack of appreciation for condo lifestyle (?). Now, where do you think Frank and Marie go? You guessed it! They return right back to their old house, and Robert and Amy will have to share the house with Frank and Marie for a time being until an alternate arrangement can be made. The plot doesn't sound very exciting to me though. **Sigh**

I agree its a pretty big bombshell... but the 'twist' in the second ep is lame.
So what's the third ep about?
I'm surprised 'raymod' didn't delete it.

He didn't say anything about the third episode. I'm guessing it's gonna be about Robert and Amy finding a place of their own to stay, cause I don't think Amy can handle two more Barones for another week. One is enough for her. ;D

First off, wtf was with Ray's hair? That's the worst I've seen of the 9 seasons. Second, the ep was mediocre and not that funny. I did like the reference to the pilot with "too much fruit in the house." I suspect that in the second ep, Marie and Frank PURPOSELY sabotage their residency at that condo because they miss Ray & Company. Looks like Season 9 continues the downward trajectory that began with S7. Pwned.

You have to admit though - the kitchen scene was very funny! After that it went flat.
