hey- sorta new here, I've been reading y'all's posts for a while and I finally decided to join. Anyways, I was reading on tvtome.com (don't know how reliable their info. is) but they said a spinoff with ALL the characters except Ray is in the works. How will that work with Debra? Are they going to split them up? So many questions this brings up!

Well first of all Welcome I love new people!
Secondly, those rumors have been floating around for awhile but there has never been anything definate.
If they do a spin off I hope they don't deal with the Ray and Debra thing until the new show starts. Like with Friends, they didn't make Joey move to LA in that show but they will explain it in the new show Joey. I hope thats what they Do with ELR too at the end Ray and Deb are still together and if there is a spinoff with everyone else its explained why Debra is there in the new show.

Welcome to the forum, ELRobsessed. We look forward to reading your posts.
Given the enduring popularity of ELR, it's very likely that the powers that be at CBS will try to launch a spinoff series. Just look at what they've done with CSI. To that effect, the character of Robert would be the most logical candidate to carry the banner of Raymond. I'm a big fan of Patty and would like to see her on more shows after Raymond, but I don't think it'd make sense to have a spinoff series involving Debra and not have Ray on it, as some fans have suggested.

I agree, Robert would be an interesting spinoff.
Would be it be funny and as entertaining as ELR?
I doubt it. Just about everyone here despises the Robert-centric eps, so who here would watch a full season of it?
Still, I'm sure it would run for one or two seasons.

I would love to see a spinoff and I hope they at least try it.
With everybody back (except Ray) it would not matter who was in the lead.
Ray could be gone covering sports or whatever and the rest could carry on as always. Maybe Marie could bug Robert and Amy a little more and Debra a little less. LOL
I love PH!
