At the TBS website, they have an ELR page up. It has a few things like quotes and cast info. and the first episodes they will be showing. Episodes are scheduled to start July 5th and play M-F at 5:30-6:30.

I remember Sam or Dan saying TBS, like UPN, WB and Fox, shows edited version of old sitcoms. I really want to see the uncut version of ELR just as they originally aired on CBS. I am still mad about the delay in the release date of the Season 1 DVD.

Yeah, I really don't understand why they edit them at all, what are they gaining, a maximum of 30 seconds? Oy...

Did you say 5:30 - 6:30? Are they going to air back to back eps?
And I think they edit them so they can squeeze one more commercial into each one! LOL
Anyway, for those of us that have to work, the 5:30 will be no good. Oh well.

Yes, it said 5:30-6:30. I think it is replacing Home Improvement. I'm glad TBS is showing episodes because where I live, there is only one episode a day in syndication on one channel and it is on at 10:30 at night....so I'll be glad to get more ELR in a day. ;D

Yes! Let's see, if I do it right, I could watch ELR at 5:30, 6:00, 7:30. 9:00 (Mondays) and 11:00 PM! Wow. Talk about overload! That would be good though because I love PH and can't get too much of her! By the end of the evening I may have exhausted all of my fantasies about her! LOL Well wait, the news comes on at 6. I may have to watch that. But I have two TVs so........

Don't you guys have all the episodes taped by now? Where I live, ELR is shown twice on weekdays in syndication and three times on Monday. But, I hardly watch the show in syndication nowdays cause I've seen every episode gazillion times already, not to mention I've taped every one of them. That's why this TBS syndication doesn't interest me much unless they're shown in their uncut "CBS version". Just curious, when did everybody here start watching Everybody Loves Raymond?

Yeah Yupi, I'm with you. I practically never watch syndication. First off, I have like every episode memorized, and I have every episode on tape for like a year now. I remeber the last one that I taped was "The Getaway"...great episode, btw. I probably seen every episode 4-5 times, some WAY WAY more (like I've probably seen "The Angry Family" atleast a minimum of 20 times, that used to be my favorite episode, I would watch it back-to-back like 3 times in a row ). Anyway, now I'm trying to see every episode of Friends, because for a while I wouldn't watch the show. I hated it. I've also seen every episode of Will and Grace. I started watching in season 6. I remember the season 6 clip show being a huge deal for me! Wow, I'm not that obsessed anymore.

Good question Yupi.
I have just about every episode on tape (except one). On the NYC syndication channel we get ELR twice a night during the week, at 7:30pm & 11:30pm. I used to watch both syndication episodes as they were recording. Now that they are all recorded, I don't watch the 7:30pm show, although I watch the 11:30pm show almost every night.
Its weird...when I first was catching up with episodes I printed out a list of all the episodes and was so excited that I had so many left to see, and I kept telling myself to wait and save some for the summer hiatus (this was in the fall of 2002). I couldn't resist and watched them all as they aired. Then I watched them over and over again. They got worn out. Anyone else wish they had saved some episodes so that they had fresh ones to watch now?
I started watching the show in August 2002. I had seen all the episodes by the spring of 2003.

I just started taping episodes this year, so I only have about 50 episodes on tape. I've been watching off and on since the 2nd season, but I always missed episodes because I had basketball games on Monday nights. I started watching more "obsessively" at the end of season 6. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode.

I have all the eps on tape. I don't watch in syndication hardly ever. Oh and I started watching ELR in its sixth season...
I'm sure I will have a Rayaissance when the seasons come out on to DVD.
I know thats what happened to me with Friends getting a new season is almost like watching it for the first time even tho I have seen every ep a million times. Especially because they are the unedited versions so you get to see new stuff too. Hopefully ELR eps are the unedited kind as well.

I do not tape eps. I do not see the point. I do not buy DVD's or movies either for the same reason. I might make an exception with ELR.
I just started watching about a year or year and a half ago is all. I have quickly gotten up to speed though cause I watch every one I can religiously. And I mean religiously.
My wife can't stand it or understand it. Plue I know she is jealous of Debra!
I plan to keep watching as many as I can as often as I can but I don't know about taping.

davej-Why don't you tape episodes? That way you'll always have a copy of your favorite episodes.

Exactly! If you've have them on tapes, you can watch them at the time of your choosing and as many times as your heart desires. Like VMoney, I've seen some of my favorite episodes multiple times in a row. ;D Also don't forget that the syndicated versions have 30-40 seconds of footage missing from every episode. Unless you've been watching the show from the first season on CBS, the only way to see them now would be on DVD, not to mention the associated goodies that come with the DVD. Like most of you, I also started watching ELR from the middle of the sixth season. It wasn’t an infatuation at first sight though. Back then, I used to watch the show in syndication only as I didn't know it was on CBS too. I got progressively hooked as I watched more and more episodes. Once I got serious about the show ( I think 2 or 3 months after my introduction), I started to research about the show on the internet ( checked out ELR related messageboards, sites etc.) and once I realized it was still running on CBS, started to watch the new episodes, the Breakup tape being the first one. My ELR obsession peaked during the summer of 2002 (I used to watch 5-6 episodes a day then) when I decided to tape every episode, season by season, in their order, and commercials free. Like Lauren, I made a printout of the episode list, and diligently checked out the upcoming schedule at tvguide.com. I then started to record all the episodes from July of 2002 and I was done by the spring of 2003.

Well, I thought I expalined why I do not tape eps. Maybe I will get the DVD's if I can.
They are going to be running for a number of years still on TV. I do not buy videos either. After 1 or 2 times, I never want to watch a movie again really. Same thing with a TV show. Why spend the money on tapes that i will probalby never watch again. After a while, they lose something. Also my wife would kill me!
LOL
