With emmy nominations coming up, does anyone here think any of the writers should be nominated for this year? Tucker Cawley won last year, but he could be nominated again for Liars. I personally would love it if Phil Rosenthal was nominated for Thank You Notes. I think it was a very well-written episode, and I would like to see him win an overdue Emmy for some of the great episodes he has written. Just curious to see what everyone here thinks....

It's obvious to anyone who has been following ELR for a while that the writers are an integral part of the show and the critical success and fan adoration that it enjoys today are significantly due to them. But, because they're not a visible part of the show, I don't feel a direct, "emotional" connection to them like I feel with the primary cast members. Consequently, as far as the Emmys go my primary interest lies with the fate of Patty, Ray, Peter, Robert and Doris, in that order. Of course being an ELR partisan, I want ELR to be nominated and win in as many categories as possible, but I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if ELR doesn't get nominated or win in the "minor" categories.
TYN was one of the better episodes of last season and I'd not be surprised if Phi's nominated for it. Since he's the mastermind (along with Ray) behind ELR, I guess he deserves to win an Emmy statue of his own before the show bows out. Personally, meritwise I liked "Liars" better and would like to see Tucker nominated/win instead.

I agree with yupi totally. the writing is an integral part of the success of the show. And I am glad they won last year. I hope they win again.!
By the way, the writers and producers are one of the reasons I am in favor of a spin off series. The same talent that created one successful show,. could do another one.
These talented people are going to go somewhere and do something after ELR ends., why not do something ELR related and keep these talented people?
