"Golf For It" wasn't meant to be the last episode after all. Now we know what happened to "Debra Vacations".
Anyway, here's the article from NEWSDAY- 'Raymond' finale is way ahead of itself DIANE WERTS
July 25, 2004
Talk about working ahead. The series finale of "Everybody Loves Raymond" won't air on CBS until May. But "I wrote the story already," says Phil Rosenthal, who nine years ago created the hit sitcom along the lines of star Ray Romano's stand-up act. They were thinking the show would end this past spring, but then CBS prevailed upon them for one final, shortened season of 16 episodes.
"We only did 23 episodes this past season, instead of our usual 24," explains Rosenthal, holding that ready show-ender in reserve. So what's the final episode about? Does it feel like a regular show, or some climactic big event for America's favorite dysfunctional family? "I won't tell you," Rosenthal said sheepishly last week to TV critics at their Hollywood press tour.
"He won't tell us either," staff writer Tucker Cawley said, "so don't be hurt."

Wow, so the episode is already written for the series finale!
"Debra Vacations" sounds very interesting just from the title!
Any hypotheses as to what the episode is about?

I hope it is about Deb dumping Ray and starting her own series! But I doubt it. the fans want a happy ending to the show. It may be about her just thinging about it and then coming back happily to Ray's arms! What a real tearjerker! LOL
