Has anyone seen this yet? I enjoyed the first one, but I have to say I was really, really impressed with this sequel. I think it got the action, characterizations, and drama all balanced and perfectly done. The action really stood out... whereas the first one had mediocre CGI, this one created such a great sense of intensity, speed and dynamics as Spidey is swinging through the city or stopping an out of control train. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is sitting on the fence about seeing this!

Yep, I saw it last weekend. Here's one movie that actually deserved all the pre-screening hypes and praises it got. I too highly recommend it even if you're not a fan of superheroes genre. "With great power comes great responsibility."

I've seen it twice already... and probably will a third time. Third time will be free tho! Got a free ticket that came with the DVD for the first Spiderman. I'm really pissed off cause I was gonna use the ticket for my second showing, but the theater didn't seem to be among those listed on the coupon... until they printed up the ticket and I realized they were an affiliate. I tried to use it but they said "Sorry, but you can use it towards another showing". Mother...shitta!

The last movie I saw three times in the theater was Gladiator. I must admit that the third viewing wasn't as exciting as the previous two.
Does anyone remember the Spiderman theme song from the cartoon series which goes something like:
Spiderman, Spiderman Does whatever a spider can Spins a web, any size Catches thieves just like flies Look out! here comes the Spida man.
I heard that Toby Maguire is already signed up to star in two more sequels. I hope it doesn't follow the "Superman" example, the last two sequels of which were just awful.

Yah, but I heard Kirsten only wants to do 3 movies... so I'm not sure how that would pan out.
As long as they don't go the Batman & Robin route, I think they're fine. I like the balance of seriousness, action, and humor. A lot of superhero movies don't get it right because, well, it is tough to get everything there while also making it an enjoyable movie.

Yup! I think two more would be bad. The Star Trek Sequels were awful.
too much of a good thing goes bad.
