Should we switch to ezBoard?

I'm not sure where Sam is... but I think we should switch to an ezboard for several reasons.

1) Lack of archival. Unless I'm mistaken, this forum does not keep forum posts past the first page. I don't know about you, but I like having the old posts saved because they often contain interesting details, pictures, episode grades (from us), and the like.

2) No moderator. With Sam gone, there's really no one controlling this board. True, we haven't really had any problems, but I don't want some fucktard to come in and start spamming. If we used an ezboard yupi and I can admin it and hand the reigns over to Sam whenever she gets back.

3) Not very customizable. We could create a really interesting design for the forums. I've done work on ezboards before.

4) Ezboard has everything this place has and more (features).

5) ezboard isn't going anywhere. They've been around since 1998. With iboardplus dead, ALL our good posts have been destroyed.

Yes, for all the reasons you listed it would be nice to switch to an ezboard. I really hate the fact that this board doesn't retain old posts beyond the first page. Sometimes I wish we could go back and read all those old posts from a year or two ago.

As it is, very few people visit or participate on this forum. If we switch to ezboard, without Sam we won't be able to link the new MB to the homepage. How are people going to find out the location of the new board? Also, we'll have to begin form scratch again.

Anyway, let's do it. Use all your creativity to make it exotic and interesting. Let us know when you're done.

Yes, this is Sam's board. However, it has been almost 2 months since she last posted a message here. She then said her computer was malfunctioning but one would suppose the problem should've been fixed by now. I hope her lack of interest in ELR is not the reason for her long absence. May be one of us should email her and see what's going on.

Hey everyone my comp is still broken and do to finacial issues I don't know when I will have it again. I have been using friends and families comps once a week in order to do my online homework. Anywho good luck at the new board. I will try and link it to the site whenever I have time probably next sunday. Dan I will send you an email on the address I most likely to check if you have anything else youd like me to do.

Oh and I have been watching ELR I liked PT&A last monday funny stuff!
